Our Pastor

Pastor Gabriel Wetmore was born and raised in Southern California. He grew up in a Christian home, and cannot remember a time when he was not trusting in Jesus. He first sensed a call to Christian ministry in high school, and upon graduating he took a year off from college to do short term missionary work. In that time he did mission work in the Kingdom of Jordan, Israel, Korea, and the Philippines. He then studied at California State University, Long Beach, where he received his B.A. in Philosophy.  He then attended Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, South Carolina, where he received a Masters of Divinity.  He moved to Caro in March 2010 to pastor Providence Church.  He and his lovely wife, Erin, have 3 small children: Abigail (5), Ethan (3), and Lillian (1).  He loves to study and teach God's word and can usually be found studying, spending time with his wife and kids, or working in the yard.  If you would like to talk to Pastor Wetmore, he is available at (989) 863-4484 or you can email him: pastor@providencechurchcaro.org
